New Delhi: On Wednesday, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized the strong bond between India and Africa, highlighting their "deep solidarity" and "unshakeable friendship." He reaffirmed India's unwavering commitment to supporting Africa's growth and development.
Speaking at the Africa Day celebrations in Delhi, Jaishankar noted that India, as a partner in the Global South, advocates for a more prominent role for Africa in international discussions and institutions.
In a post shared on X, he expressed his joy at participating in the #AfricaDay2025 celebrations, stating, "India stands fully committed to Africa's development, prosperity, and progress."

Jaishankar also shared images from the event and reiterated the importance of enhancing the India-Africa partnership.
"Our collaboration is growing in areas such as trade, development assistance, capacity building, and security. As partners in the Global South, India is a strong advocate for amplifying Africa's voice in global forums and discussions," he stated.
"India and Africa will work closely together to create a modern agenda focused on achieving African priorities," he concluded.
